Four rooms. One host. A mountain view that stops you mid-sentence. The interiors are beautiful without trying too hard, and outside, the property opens onto something genuinely spectacular — mountains pulling clouds down from the sky, forest rolling further than you can track. The person behind it all is Sushmita: yoga instructor, gardener, and quietly excellent cook. Most of what lands on your plate comes from the kitchen garden on the property. Seasonal, unfussy, and better than you expected. The staff are good company without being in the way. The place is kept immaculately. There are trails if you want them, peaceful corners if you don't, and enough to keep children happily occupied. The background soundtrack is birdsong and wind chimes — which sounds like a cliché until you're actually sitting in it. And then there are Zen and Zuri, two Alaskan Malamutes of impressive size and entirely disarming friendliness. Children will be lost to them within minutes. Come for the mountains.
